Birmingham Comic Con 2011 BC, the city’s newly revamped graphic novel convention, will be adopting a Prehistoric theme for it’s inaugural outing on Saturday 27th August.
Brought to you by the very same creative folk behind BICS, the British International Comic Show which has also been held in the city in recent years, expect to see sexy cave girls and cave boys in central Birmingham this summer as the Holiday Inn on Smallbrook Queensway plays host to some of the biggest names in comics including Mark Millar (Kick Ass, Wanted), Chris Sprouse, (Tom Strong) Dave Gibbons, (Watchmen) Sean Phillips (Criminal, Incognito) and the legendary Alan Davis, who’s list of creative credits rivals the length of a brontosaurus!
The weekend kicks off with an exclusive Friday Night Launch Party at the popular Oceana night spot as well as a special preview night where fans can gain access to guest for sketches and signings.
The one and a half day convention also boasts an impressive day of events on the Saturday including creator interviews, fun quizzes and live art events. Add to that a huge selection of exhibitors with exclusive special offers and bargains galore and you have the ultimate convention experience for comics fans everywhere!

Kinda annoyed that it won't be national British show anymore and we won't get any major guests here and that its not at the millennium point but glad we got a Birmingham-based event. Still believe we should have both in all honesty tho!
We can make this better than BICS and show Birmingham is truly a great city for big cult and sci-fi conventions, gotta be done!!
