The Birmingham Social Media Cafe returned today following an absence in April due to numerous bank holidays. The event was packed out as regular and debut faces took to new venue Cafe Blend in Navigation Street to enjoy coffees while networking and catching up with media folk.
Sponsoring the event for the first time was the newly revamped and rebranded Venue Birmingham.
Among those attending for the first time were avid vloggers Jamie Chapman, Jordan Goode and Gordon Campbell who plan to host the city’s first YouTube gathering in June.
This was the last BSMC being co-ordinated by Meshed Media, now a part of the Made Media family, as photographer and 4am Project founder Karen Strunks will be taking the helm of the social networking event.
The next Social Media cafe event will once again be held at Cafe Blend on Friday 24th June, 2011. See you there!

But most importantly the event was very good - as ever; the Birmingham Social Media Cafe has always been an excellent way to meet some of the people you talk to on Twitter frequently in person.
