'Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D' is one of the new titles at GAMEfest

With only 19 days before one of the most exciting consumer gaming shows opens its doors to the public, retail giant GAME have announced the addition of not just one… but two major games companies to the line-up for this year’s gaming extravanganza, as Nintendo and Disney both pledge to showcase titles at GAMEfest.

Disney’s Disney Universe and an amazing five Nintendo titles including Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D and Kid Icarus: Uprising will all be available for gamers to experience at event; while fans of Zelda will not be disappointed when they get their hands on The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Offering the most intuitive play control of any game in the series to date, this prequel title to Ocarina of Time, introduces full motion control, enabled by Wii MotionPlus™ meaning gamers movements are synchronised with hero Link’s actions. From firing a bow to tossing bombs at enemies, gamers will also be tasked with puzzles to solve to help Link discover where the evil Demon Lord Ghirahim has taken his childhood friend and future princess, Zelda.

As well as showcasing titles the whole family can enjoy, gamers will be eager to see Solid Snake smashing onto their 3DS screens at this year’s not to be missed event. Set in the 60s, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D sees Solid Snake on his first mission ever on the 3D Nintendo handheld.

In addition, Nintendo will also be celebrating the return of one of the most iconic franchises in the gaming giant’s history Kid Icarus. Designed specifically for the Nintendo 3DS this will be the first time, Kid Icarus: Uprising has been made available to play in the UK.

Gamers who enjoy the family fun of Disney will love the non-stop, off the wall action of Disney Universe. This adventure game allows up to four players to suit up in iconic character costumes and face various challenges in famous Disney worlds. Players work together to complete levels collecting coins and smashing their way through each platform whilst enemies try to hinder a player’s progress by setting traps and hiding key items during active gameplay.

GAMEfest will be welcoming top names like Nintendo, EA and Activision to the Birmingham NEC, and they’ll be bringing some of their newest games and top series for you to check out.

Hosted by GAME, Europe’s leading specialist videogame retailer, GAMEfest is an exclusive event just for GAME Reward Card holders. So as well as playing some of the best new games of tomorrow, fans will be able to take advantage of special offers and walk away with some of the top games of today.

If, of course, having all of these titles playable at GAMEfest wasn’t already enough, there will also be an exclusive Professor Layton 4 trailer previewing at the event so now there’s no excuses for not attending.
