COMPETITION: Jay Sean heads to Birmingham – WIN tickets!

Jay Sean, a regular Lil' Wayne, collaborator, will be performing in Birmingham

British R’n’B sensation Jay Sean is bringing his first ever UK headline tour, ‘Money and The Mistress’, to the Birmingham O2 Academy next month; accompanied by a live band and special guest appearances.

Chart topper Jay Sean – who in 2009 became the first male UK urban act ever to top the US Billboard Hot 100 with his track ‘Down‘ – returns home from working in the States alongside the likes of Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, to embark on a special concert tour taking in the O2 Academy venues in Birmingham and Glasgow after a date at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London as part of his ‘Money & the Mistress Tour‘.

A name synonymous with the UK’s thriving urban music scene, Jay has had numerous global top-ten smash hits including his transatlantic debut ‘Down’, which sold over 6 million worldwide, earning him his rightful place at the high table of artists leading the new urban charge at Cash Money Records.

This winter, following the release of his critically acclaimed mixtape ‘The Mistress’ in September and in anticipation of his eagerly-awaited forthcoming new album ‘Freeze-Time’, Jay Sean has been relishing the prospect of his first ever UK headline tour.

Jay Sean duets with Alicia Keys

Since being dubbed ‘an urban legend in the making’ by The Independent in 2008, the multi-platinum-selling superstar hailing from West London has been touring the world fulfilling that very prophecy. Having been working in the US with the likes of Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, Jay has been at the forefront of the UK’s rule on the world’s stage and is looking forward to a homecoming to his fiercely loyal fans and a highly energised scene.

These shows, featuring his live band, will include performances of his biggest hits like 2012, ft. Nicky Minaj, Hit the Lights, Ride it, Do You Remember ft. Sean Paul, and of course Down Ft Lil Wayne, along with some old fan favorites and some fresh and exciting material from his latest projects. With additional special guests still to be confirmed, these are live shows you can’t afford to miss.

Jay Sean with Skepta

Joining Jay Sean are music stars Skepta and Talay Riley. Skepta, the ever- controversial P-Diddy collaborating grime crossover artist from Boy Betta Know, has just come off a hugely successful UK tour and will be peppering the Money and The Mistress proceedings with a uniquely underground taste for those fans that like to mix it up; while Talay Riley and his uniquely singular take on urban-pop will be stitching together a truly universal sound, one that has earned him a strong and loyal following in recent months!
