Birmingham’s National Indoor Arena (NIA) is set for a month packed full of action, as it hosts five different athletics events during its Athletics Season this February.

Due to the return of the Aviva Grand Prix Athletics on Saturday 18th February, the city centre venue will be having a world class athletics track built and maintained for the whole month of February, and Athletics Season aims to take full advantage of this.

The Season will begin with the 21st annual Birmingham Games, from 4-5 February, and will go straight into the Midland Championships from 11-12 February. Following the Aviva Grand Prix is the Midland Counties Open Meeting, taking place on 19 February. Finally, closing the month of sport will be the Aviva England Age Group Championships from 25-26 February, where athletes from the age of 13 up to 20 years old will compete for medals in a variety of categories.
