NKOTBSB at the Birmingham LG Arena in April 2012
New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys join forces at the LG Arena in April

Guaranteed to make every girl that grew up in the 90s swoon, American hunks New Kids On The Block and the Backstreet Boys are sure to be the hottest ticket in town when they return to Birmingham this April.

They may no longer sport the same 90s fashion but the bands, who were two of the most popular and profitable acts of the past three decades, will be bringing their crotch-grabbing, hip-thrusting dance routines to old hits such as Hangin’ Tough, Step by Step and I Want it That Way to the LG Arena. The bands have reformed for the joint 18-date NKOTBSB tour, which will make stops across Europe and land at the LG Arena on 27th April. The tour has already proved a hit in the USA, with media hailing it as ‘One of the hottest tickets of the summer’.

With more than 200 million albums sold between them and numerous smash hits, the two pop sensations have dominated the music scene for more than three decades.

Formed in 1984, New Kids On The Block sold more than 80 million albums worldwide, with hits such as I’ll be Lovin’ You, Tonight and Didn’t I (Blow Your Mind This Time) guaranteeing their place on teenage girls’ bedroom walls the world over.

The group shattered box office records, playing an estimated 200 concerts a year in sold-out stadiums across the globe – and were the highest paid entertainers on 1990, beating megastars such as Michael Jackson and Madonna.

The Backstreet Boys were formed in 1992 and for more than 18 years they have been giving fans their floor-shaking rhythms, tightly crafted songs and unmistakable harmonies.
