‘Cirque Du Spiceal’ to unleash on Bullring

Igor Rasputin's 'Caravan of Lost Souls' will entertain as part of Cirque Du Spiceal

Imagine a circus like no other. A twisted circus some might say. Include a handful of peculiar performances and then add eight divine restaurants to the mix for good measure. Cirque du Spiceal arrives at Spiceal Street, Bullring, this January.

Between 23rd – 28th January visitors to Birmingham’s new dining destination, Spiceal Street, will be able to experience a unique phenomenon – a twisted circus – whilst enjoying the city’s ultimate socialising hotspot.

Think gentleman chimps hosting an unusual tea party, killer clowns on the loose and spectacular fire performers, whilst a twisted ringmaster takes centre stage as Spiceal Street is transformed into the setting for Cirque du Spiceal.

During the whole week diners at the eight restaurants at Spiceal Street – Browns Bar and Brasserie, ChaoBaby Thai Restaurant, handmade burger Co., Jamie’s Italian, Mount Fuji, Nando’s, Pizza Hut and wagamama – will be treated to an array of eccentric teaser performances before the grand finale on Saturday 28th January.

'Caravan of Lost Souls'

The ‘Caravan of Lost Souls’ will be unleashed on St Martin’s Square between 8pm – 10pm on Saturday 28th January with an array of twisted circus acts, including fire breathers, contortionists and a one man band, performing tricks and illusions.

Louise Hamer-Brown, Head of Marketing at Bullring, commented: “Spiceal Street is the city’s new social dining hotspot so we wanted to do something really special to welcome in the New Year and in true Bullring tradition something that is completely unexpected.

Cirque Du Spiceal

“Cirque du Spiceal will offer shoppers and diners a completely unique experience and a programme of atmospheric night time entertainment right in the heart of the city.”
