Insomnia 57, dubbed the UK’s biggest gaming festival by organisers, was held at the NEC in Birmingham over the weekend as thousands of gamers came out to meet their online heroes.
Spanning three days, Multiplay’s Insomnia 57 was packed with gaming, cosplay, giveaways, shows and tournaments.
Among the numerous high-profile gamers present was YouTuber Syndicate – real name Tom Cassell – who was on hand to meet his fans, push some merch and join in the activities. Queues to meet Cassell seemed endless with brief intervals for the famous gamer to recuperate.
Despite having tens of thousands of online subscribers, millions of video views and being rushed off his feet, the popular gamer made time for all his young fans, taking selfies and chatting with each of them throughout the 3-day extravaganza.
