30+ photos of London Pride 2017 parade and celebrations

The London Pride parade for 2017 was bigger and better than ever, as headline sponsors Barclays led the celebration in the capital.

Thousands of people congregated in central London as the annual Pride parade got underway on Saturday, with over 26,000 attendees hitting the streets to highlight this year’s ‘Love Happens Here’ theme.

Around 300 different groups -the biggest march in the event’s 45-year history – joined the procession of rainbow floats, bands, music and community activists.

The 1.4 mile route began at 1pm in Portland Place, passing through Oxford Circus and Regent Street, before ending at Whitehall.

An estimated 1 million people lined the streets as crowds eagerly watched and enjoyed the colourful procession of floats make their way past some of the city’s most famous landmarks.
