Aston Villa to host LGBT football sessions for trans individuals

Aston Villa Football Club are hosting a special footie session for trans individuals.

Teaming up with Birmingham LGBT, Aston Villa are hosting a free trans football sessions at Villa Park’s academy building.

A part of sporting initiative Activate – based at the LGBT Centre – the event is designed to encourage, promote and engage LGBT+ participation in sport and fitness activities in Birmingham such as including football, badminton, water polo or rugby, running, walking and swimming with the city’s many LGBTQ+ clubs.

According to organisers, “This is a fantastic opportunity to take part in football training at the prestigious Aston Villa Academy Building in a free fun, fitness and ball skills session.”

The football session will be held at the football grounds from 2-3pm on Sunday 13 May.

All abilities, and anyone over 18 who is trans, non-binary, or gender non-conforming people are welcome to attend.
