A hilarious promenade performance took place in Birmingham city centre this afternoon, as a team of big, bouncy pink pied pipers led smiling crowds from Victoria Square down New Street and to the Bullring & Grand Central Birmingham, as part of the Birmingham International Dance Festival.

The troupe began with the Le Grande Phase, a promenade performance from Victoria Square, then along New Street and to the Bullring by way of the iconic Bull; before heading to St. Martins Square.

Performing for around 45 minutes in total, the members of dance group Cie DidierThéron later took part in an ‘AIR’ performance, once again at Victoria Square in the evening.

The public interactive art was part of the Birmingham Dance Festival, an award-winning biennial festival presenting a vibrant programme of international dance in venues and public spaces across the city.
