You might have noticed an eerie-looking tent pop up in Birmingham city centre this weekend with queues of people ‘just dying’ to get in. But what is it and why the fuss?
Well, it’s Fanta’s Twisted Carnival and it’s in the city right up until and including Halloween day itself!
The spooky immersive attraction opened at the Bullring yesterday (Saturday 27th October) and will be in place until Wednesday 31st October.
It’s located just outside the Bullring near the iconic bull, and you can’t miss it with its bright orange ‘grunge’ theme to get you in the Halloween mood.
Visitors looking for an eerie thrill can buy tickets on the day they visit in order to access the carnival marquee, which is expected to challenge all who dare to enter with various interactive exhibition rooms full of Halloween frights and delights.
The experience is being hosted by a number of spooky characters, who are showing visitors around the attraction’s eerie exhibits; including the Master of Ceremonies, the Carnival Caller and Jack’s Widow.
Soft drink brand Fanta – owned by the Coca-Cola Company – has brought the attraction to Birmingham as part of a tour that takes in shopping centres at four locations.
Ahead of its arrival in Brum, Fanta GB marketing manager Rosalind Brown said: “We’re so excited to be taking our Twisted Carnival to Birmingham.
“She’s one of many thrilling characters and experiences at the attraction, which will cross between the physical and virtual world to create a one-of-a-kind immersive, spooky experience.”
“Halloween is an exciting time of year, so we want to bring a thrilling new experience to hard shock Brummies.”
The carnival coincides with Fanta releasing two new flavours, Blood Orange Zero and Pink Grapefruit Zero, which will be launched in time for Halloween and feature ghoulish graphics by renowned artist Noma Bar.
