Movember is back, a month of raising awareness and money to tackle prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health struggles and promote suicide prevention; effectively top stop men dying too young.

Taking place every year in November, the fundraising initiative brings together men and women (referred to as ‘Mo Bros’ and ‘Mo Sistas’) for 30 days of activities including growing a moustache for Movember, moving for Movember by way of fitness exercises, and hosting events to promote the cause.

Back in 2012, then Free Radio presenters (not on Gem Radio) Jo & Sparky got their ‘tashes on to promote the special month-long national fundraiser, and as it was only the start of November, they were thankfully detachable false facial hair.

The broadcasting duo were joined by young entrepreneur Jamie Chapman of Punk Zebra and YouTube vlogger Sarmad Qusai, both of whom went on to grow actual moustaches and raise money for the charity.
