Police are appealing for information after a 21-year-old was injured after shots were fired in Handsworth yesterday.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to his hip in Soho Road at around 2.30pm on Friday 16 November, and is currently being treated in hospital with what is believed to be life changing injuries.
CCTV in the area is being examined and a police cordon remains in place this morning while enquires continue.
Detective Inspector Vanessa Eyles from Force CID, said: “Investigations remain underway this morning to establish the circumstances around what happened and how this man came to receive this nasty injury.
“We will not tolerate anyone being shot and we are determined to catch whoever was responsible. I would urge anyone with information which can assist us to get in contact as soon as possible.”
