5 photos of Birmingham on the warmest February in 20 years

It’s suddenly become an unusually warm winter. The warmest February recorded since 1998.

The UK has seen record-breaking February weather, with temperatures reaching up to 20°C in some parts of the country.

In Wales, temperatures reached 20°C on Monday, making it the warmest February recorded since 1998, when it reached 19°C in London. The record temperature for February has been broken twice in the past two days in the UK alone, with some attributing it to climate change.

Others suggesting it’s just a few days of freak weather as a usually cold winter month became very hot, hot enough for wearing t-shirts and enjoying ice cream.

However, it is expected to rain again tomorrow so this brief affair with a passing mini heat-wave may be the only teaser for summer we get before the real thing later in the year. In the meantime, here’s 5 photos of Brummies enjoying the brief heat:
