As anticipation continues to build for this year’s Birmingham Pride festival, organisers have officially announced Human League as headliners for the two-day LGBTQ+ festival.
The iconic 80’s supergroup are set to grace the main stage on Sunday 26th May for what has been proclaimed as the, ‘biggest main stage ever’. Formed in Sheffield, the group have sustained a career spanning almost five decades; in part due to their innovative use of newfound technology.
Best known for their renowned hits, ‘Don’t You Want Me’ and, ‘Mirror Man’, the group were among the earliest, and the most creatie, artists to break into the traditional pop scene using synthesizers and ingenious electronic rhythms. Their success has seen them sell over 20 million records worldwide.
As the awaited date approaches, organisers are set to reveal even more headliners over the coming weeks.
Birmingham Pride will return on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May during the Spring Bank Holiday Weekend. With this years featured theme being, ‘Love Out Loud’, the event will see over 75,000 attendees travel to the city’s iconic gay quarter to celebrate all things LGBTQ+.
