For its third year, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office is again looking for creative, ‘social media savvy’ students to work as Student Ambassadors for the government department.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office is looking for Birmingham university students for the next academic year to take on the role of Student Ambassador! Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to represent the governmental department in addition to getting involved in developing one of the office’s major PR and marketing campaigns.
Within the role, Student Ambassadors will be supported in publishing articles to a variety of outlets, organising campus wide events that communicate FCO Travel Aware advice and creating social media content to enhance the campaign’s exposure. For those with a strong interest in journalism, blogging and writing, this role will allow students to thrive.
Current Student Ambassador for the University of Birmingham Joshua Williams stated, ‘This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working for a governmental department alongside your studies.’
‘As well as the workload being flexible around my degree, the role has allowed me to really push myself in being innovative and creative in marketing campaigns which has given me invaluable experience!’
Those that are successful will not only gain media and PR training but will also bag themselves an expenses paid visit to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London!
Birmingham university students for the academic year beginning 2019 are encouraged to apply via http://campusindustries.co.uk/portfolio/fco/.
