West Midlands Police are appealing for information following a violent robbery on Highfield Road in the Hall Green area of Birmingham at 6pm on Saturday 15th February.
Three masked men, armed with screwdrivers, forced their way into a house and pulled a pregnant woman off the bed, before kicking her in the stomach and legs.
This vicious attack took place while there were children in the house.
Another woman in the property tried to intervene and the robbers fled the house with a large quantity of jewellery.
Detective Sergeant Tom Lyons from force CID said:
“This was a nasty assault on two women, who were at home with their children.
“Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, but the outcome could have been a lot worse.
“This attack happened in the early evening, so we are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything in the area at the time to contact us, or if you saw any suspicious behaviour on the road at the time.
“We are also appealing to anyone who sees this jewellery being sold, or if you notice jewellery appearing at your home that was not there before.”
