Abdul Wahid Xasan died from gunshot wounds on Friday afternoon

A post mortem examination revealed he died from two gunshot wounds to his back which caused catastrophic internal injuries.

Detective Chief Inspector Scott Griffiths from the Homicide Unit, said:

“We’ve made swift progress in our investigation and it’s led us to charge two suspects with murder.

“But our investigation continues at pace and we still really want to hear from anyone who saw what happened and has not yet spoken to us or anyone who has information.

“I particularly want to hear from anyone who saw the black VW Golf believed to have been used in the shooting and which was found burned out in London Road. If anyone saw it or has dash-cam footage of the car I need to speak to them.”

Detective Griffiths is appealing to anyone who saw a black VW Golf R with silver wing mirrors and five spoke alloys being driven erratically on Friday to come forward.
