Police have launched an appeal to track down a violent thug after a woman was assaulted and wounded in Wolverhampton.

Joshua Clarkson, 23-years-old, is wanted on suspicion of wounding after a woman was assaulted in George Street, Wolverhampton on 22 April.

The unprovoked and savage attack against the defenceless woman took place in Wolverhampton city centre.

The poor victim was left in a traumatized state and in urgent need of medical attention for the injuries she received at the hands of her brutal attacker.

Detectives working on this case are asking members of the public for any information that could help in tracing the whereabouts of Joshua Clarkson.

People have been warned not to approach Clarkson. Detectives have urged caution and requested people to contact police if Clarkson is spotted anywhere.
