Police are appealing to trace three women who were sexually assaulted outside McDonald’s in Bordesley Green late last year.

The matter was reported to officers by someone inside the restaurant who had witnessed a man approaching and grabbing women outside the eatery on 20 November.

A police spokesperson stated that CCTV of the incident shows the suspect, who was riding a red bicycle at the time, grabbing the women’s buttocks.

The shocking assault took place outside the McDonald’s which is located on the corner of Belchers Lane and Bordesley Green Road within walking distance of Heartlands Hospital.

A fourth woman contacted police the same day to report that she was sexually assaulted outside Dixy Chicken, which is located across the road from the McDonald’s restaurant.

Police have confirmed that the CCTV footage of the crimes suggests the same man is responsible for these disturbing incidents.

Officers who are investigating these depraved crimes have identified and arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of sexual assault.

The sexual predator has been released pending further investigation.

Police are now appealing directly to the three women who were assaulted to get in touch. Specialist officers will offer help, support, advice, and protect any of the victims who come forward to talk about the attacks they endured.

The police spokesperson is also appealing to anyone else who witnessed the attacks to get in touch and help with the investigation in order to bring the sexual offender to justice and make sure that other people are kept safe.
