A former West Midlands Police officer pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children at Dudley Magistrates Court yesterday (27 January).
Keel Walker, 21, joined the force in March last year as a student officer, however a warrant was executed at his home address by officers and he was suspended from duty.
The offender from Redhall Road, in Lower Gornal, was investigated by the Online Child Sexual Exploitation Team (OCSET) and a number of devices were seized at his residence.
Walker was subsequently charged after he was found to have uploaded indecent images of children.
He appeared for an initial hearing at Dudley Magistrates Court on 17 January prior to the hearing yesterday.
The court placed the offender on the Sex Offender Register and he is due to be sentenced on 14 March.
The officer resigned from his post in September, however a misconduct hearing will be convened following sentencing.
