A man has been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a mother-of-four in the Bordesley Green area of Birmingham.
Marena Shaban, 41, was tragically stabbed to death in North Holme, Birmingham, on 28 January.
The victim – described as a “loving and caring mother” by her grieving family – was discovered with savage knife wounds near her apartment block in Bordesley Green around 7pm.
The stab wounds proved fatal and the victim sadly died at the scene despite the valiant attempts by emergency medical crews to save her.
West Midlands Police confirmed that a 43-year-old man – who was known to the victim – was arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday 7 February.
Local residents were left horrified by the brutal crime and police promised to step up patrols in the area following the killing.
