A man has been arrested after a 12-year-old missing girl from Wales was found 100 miles away in Birmingham.
The young girl, from Flintshire, went missing on Friday (23 September) and an intensive search was launched to trace her.
West Midlands Police assisted in the desperate hunt to find the missing girl as quickly as possible and reunite her with her family.
North Wales Police issued a statement saying the missing girl has now been found in Birmingham and a man has been taken into custody.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police, said: “Following the report of a missing 12-year-old girl from Flint on Friday afternoon, we are pleased to confirm that she has now been reunited with her family.
“An intensive investigation was launched by North Wales Police detectives and officers, who were able to trace the girl to Birmingham.
“A man has been arrested in connection with this incident and remains in police custody.”
