West Midlands Police have arrested two men after pursuing two suspected stolen cars in Solihull.
Officers on patrol spotted a car that was stolen from an address in Shirley and another car that was suspected of being involved in the same burglary on Saturday.
“Both cars failed to stop for officers before one of them came to a halt in Gough Road, Sparkhill,” police confirmed.
Following a search of the car, officers discovered a key from another car which had been the home which was burgled, and a balaclava.
Two men aged 31 and 30 were arrested on suspicion of burglary and going equipped. They both remain in police custody.
Detective Inspector Mark Heard from Solihull Police, said: “This was a great result following joint work between our colleagues from force traffic and the Solihull neighbourhood crime team.
“The message is simple – those intent on committing crime in Solihull are not welcome.
“We do not underestimate the trauma having someone break into your home and stealing your vehicle can inflict.
“We are working more closely with our communities and tackling the issues that matter most to local people, such as vehicle crime and burglary.
