Brum hotel worker lands role in national TV ad campaign

A Birmingham hotel staff member is being featured in a nationwide TV advertisement campaign for Premier Inn, who plucked him from one of their 750 UK hotels to star in the feature.

Ross Mallard, who works at the Premier Inn in Birmingham’s New Street was selected to join five lucky winners appearing in the hotel chain’s new series of promotional TV spots throughout this month.

According to representatives from the UK’s largest hotel brand, “Ross was chosen following a rigorous internal audition process, where his personality and dedication impressed a panel of judges”.

Asked to recount his favourite guest service story, the city centre based Assistant Operations Manager said, “When a guest came down to reception in a panic after forgetting his trouser belt and had an important meeting to go to, I gave him mine on the spot! It felt great to help out a guest in need.”

In the advert, Mallard takes on the role of a Breakfast Assistant serving the main stars of the advert as they prepare for the day ahead. Ross will be joined by fellow Premier Inn team member, Jessica Lloreen White from Tewkesbury and the two will appear alongside the stars of the film; Chapman and Steele.

“I am so proud to have been chosen, and I loved being part of the experience as a whole. It gave me a new perspective on the work involved in creating an advert, and I would definitely love to give acting a go again!”
