West Midlands Police were called to a property on Oxford Road in the Moseley area of Birmingham just before 5.30pm on Saturday 9 November.
Officers found a man and a woman inside, both with serious injuries. Sadly, nothing could be done to save them and both were confirmed dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives are currently trying to establish how they came about their injuries, but at this stage they do not suspect anyone else to be involved and the couple were known to each other.
A cordon has been put in place at the property for forensic examinations and officers are speaking to neighbours.
