The distraught family of a teenage girl have launched a public appeal to help find her after she went missing from a popular entertainment venue in the Nechells area of Birmingham.
16-year-old Zahara Tariq Malvankar was last seen at Star City on Thursday 10 August.
Her mother, Rahima, said she last saw her daughter at their home in Aston on Thursday morning.
Zahara is thought to have left her home around 10am to go to watch a film at the Vue Cinema in Star City.
West Midlands Police have liaised with staff at the Vue Cinema and have confirmed that Zahara was spotted at Star City on Thursday afternoon. The youngster was reportedly accompanied by a female wearing a headscarf.
At the time when she went missing she was wearing a dark top, light-coloured jeans, maroon bomber jacket and carrying a small black handbag with metal straps. Zahara is 5ft 4in tall, has long dark brown hair with red highlights and wears glasses.
The last confirmed sighting of Zahara was when she left Star City around 3:15pm on Thursday.
Zahara’s family, including her two little brothers, are very “scared and worried” about her safety and desperate to find her as soon as possible.
The family, including friends, have been handing out flyers with pictures of the missing teenager, reaching out to community pages on social media, and driving around in the hope of finding Zahara.
