A serial prankster has managed to infiltrate the highbrow and exclusive London Fashion Week event this week using a fake ID and some top-class blagging.

Not only that, but the popular YouTuber turned up in loads of gear from Poundland, passing it off as the latest in hot and happening fashion. But were the so-called style ‘experts’ fooled by the stunt? You betcha!

While Fashion Week is one of the most hotly anticipated and high security events in the industry’s calendar, it’s also when fashionistas flood the streets of the capital cities with big buck outfits.

Prankster Zac Alsop, who famously gatecrashed the Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor press conference last July, neither had the clearance to attend London Fashion Week or any expensive attire.

Yet, despite not having a ticket and wearing a complete outfit costing less than £30, the 22-year-old YouTube star infiltrated top fashion week events including the highly anticipated Burberry show in his garms from Poundland’s fashion label, PEP&CO.

Using bogus ID passes he created at home with a standard colour printer and laminator, he even managed to get backstage on the catwalk and rubbed shoulders with the fashion elite.

Showing off his economical wears, the young lad was told by international stylists and high-end buyers that they loved his outfit – which consisted of a £2 t-shirt and £9 trainers – with one New York “fixer” describing his look as “monochromatic” and suggesting “everyone’s talking about it!”

No stranger to faking his way into high profile events, Zac Alsop and friend Jamie Rawsthorne have both previously sneaked onto the Team GB Olympic parade float in Manchester, where they celebrated with fellow athletes and even managed to party with music artist Will.i.am; as well as sneaking into the MTV EMA Awards in London and a Foo Fighters gig in Rome.

The daring duo have additionally managed to get on stage with Skepta at the Warehouse Project by wearing ear-pieces and carrying fire extinguishers, and also used a camera and hi-vis jackets to get backstage with hip-hop band The Four Owls at the Tokyo World Festival in Bristol.

Zac’s most latest stunt was jointly orchestrated by the Poundland clothing brand. PEP&CO Director of Marketing Karen Harris commented:

“By the end of the year PEP&CO will be in over 300 locations across the UK & Ireland so we took our place at London’s Fashion Week. We’re sure we made a lasting great first impression – not just for quality , but for our amazing prices.  We’ve proven quality fashion need not come with a high price tag.”
