Birmingham’s Raging Bull is coming back says Mayor of the West Midlands

Birmingham’s celebrated Raging Bull – who won the hearts of millions around the world – will be coming back to a “permanent and prominent place” says Mayor of the West Midlands. 

The much-loved Raging Bull, who was the main attraction at the opening ceremony of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022, will make a comeback to the city after it was removed from Centenary Square on 23 September.

There was widespread dismay when the hugely popular Raging Bull was removed and transferred from Centenary Square, where it has been attracting massive crowds throughout the summer, and taken to a car park in the Ladywood area of the city.

The animatronic bull is currently being watched over by a security guard while city officials engage in talks with partners to find a permanent spot to display the massive 10m high steampunk sculpture.

Mayor of the West Midlands Andy Street has issued reassurances that the iconic bull’s future in the city will be secured.

Mr Street issued a positive statement saying: “I know a lot of people are concerned about where the Bull is and his future, but rest assured he’s just gone away for some TLC and an oil change.

“His step away from the limelight will be short lived, and he’ll be back soon in a very permanent and obvious place.”
