A teenage boy tragically lost his life after falling from a car park near Selfridges in Birmingham city centre on Monday afternoon.
The 15-year-old boy died after falling from the multi-storey Moor Street car park shortly after midday.
A Midlands Air Ambulance swiftly arrived and landed at the nearby Smithfields site while police quickly put up cordons and diverted traffic as paramedics attended to the injured boy.
Three ambulances and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic were also at the scene.
Sadly, due to the serious injuries sustained by the teenager he passed away a short time later.
A police spokesperson, said: “We were called after a teenage boy fell from a multi-storey car park on Moor Street in Birmingham city centre around 12.30pm, on October 17.
“The 15-year-old was sadly confirmed dead shortly afterwards.
“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, which will be referred to the coroner.
“Our thoughts are with his family, and the rest of the community, at this distressing time.”
