A suspect wanted for the murder of his brother in the Small Heath area of Birmingham has been arrested, say police.

The 58-year-old murder suspect, who was on the run, was taken into custody on Friday (11 September).

Police launched a hunt for the suspected killer after the fatal stabbing of Mr Waite, 56, who was known as Colton, at an address in Waverley Road at around 9:50pm on Monday (7 November).

West Midlands Police issued an appeal to track down the victim’s elder brother Lenville Waite in connection with the savage killing.

The murder suspect went on the run and police issued a public appeal to track and find him.

Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, from Force CID, said: “Our thoughts remain with the Waite family at this awful time.

“We’re not looking for anyone else as part of our investigation.”
