A teenager has been arrested after another teenager was stabbed in Sutton Coldfield yesterday, according to police reports.

In a statement from West Midlands Police, a fight broke out on Park Road at around 5.30pm on Monday (2 January) and spilled onto Garrod Gardens and Fawdry Close in the B73 area code.

The force confirmed a 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition, while another 16-year-old boy was arrested this morning on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody.

“Local officers will be carrying out patrols in the area and around the park to offer reassurance to the local community,” the statement confirmed.
