Iconic American singer Pink made a surprise visit to a popular Indian restaurant in Birmingham city centre ahead of her history making show at Villa Park on Tuesday.

Staff at Asha’s welcomed the superstar on Monday (12 June) before her concert the following day which saw her become the first female to headline a show at Villa Park.

Apparently, Pink had heard about the famed Indian restaurant through friends – and stories about visits from other famous diners who’ve enjoyed food the at restaurant which have hit headlines – made her want to taste the food on offer at the Birmingham eatery.

Tom Cruise, who was in Birmingham filming Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, tucked into two curries at the Asha’s and earned the nickname “Two Tikkas Tom” on social media in 2021.
