Police have named the victim of a fatal stabbing which took place in the Sparkbrook area of Birmingham earlier this week.

Fuaad Husein, aged 45, was discovered in a pool of blood at the junction of Stratford Road and Priestley Road on Monday 26 September.

Mr Husein was found with stab wounds at around 12.50am. He was taken to hospital by paramedics but sadly died a short time later.

West Midlands Police confirmed that a man has been charged in connection with this brutal crime.

Mohammed Adam, aged 45, from Birmingham, was detained and last night charged with murder. He was remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today (29 September).

A man previously arrested has been released without charge while three other men have been released under investigation while police continue with enquiries.
